Founded July 15, 2023, MDCND is a local chapter of the Muslim Democratic Caucus of Texas. We build political power, civic engagement, and community leadership for Muslim Texans in North Dallas — and our first administration was entirely women-led, with all four founding officers being young women committed to community service and political engagement.

Ceasefire Resolution passed
The MDCND Ceasefire Resolution passed at the Collin County Democratic Party Convention on March 23, 2024.
Historic state platform items
Helped support passage of Texas Democratic Party platform and resolution items at the 2024 State Convention — including recognition of Palestinian statehood and refugee rights.
Community bridge-building
Annual Iftar dinners with elected officials, plus Juneteenth and Hispanic Heritage Month events building bridges across communities.
